Welcome to the Cymru Catalunya Association Website
14th May 2020
We hope you are keeping well during these very difficult times.
Due to the virus pandemic it has been agreed that we need to cancel the 'Cymru Catalunya Festival and Cultural Exchange' we had planned for later this year. This is very disappointing as we were all looking forward to building on the successful "Cool Cymru' Festival we held in September 2019.
Our intention is to hold our next Festival over the last weekend of September 2021 in Sitges. In the meantime, we are looking at the possibility of organising a one off 'virtual' cultural event, with participation from Wales & Catalonia, in December 2020. We also hope to arrange an event to mark 2021 St David's Day. Our efforts to raise funds and more members will continue.
If you have any comments or constructive suggestions, please be free to get in touch with us. In the meantime, please take care of yourself and those around you.

We are looking for people who may be interested in attending our 2020 Festival in Sitges, before joining a group of young people for a tour of the Ribera d' Ebre, with visits to interesting historic Spanish Civil War sites. It will include the unveiling of a memorial to Rhondda born Harry Dobson who was killed during the war. On the tour you will learn more about Harry and the other Welsh Volunteers and meet with young Catalans who share an interest in Culture & History and will be visiting Wales in 2021. The Festival & Tour take place during the period 25th to 30th September. All costs during the stay in Catalonia will be met.
